Mable Sue Murphy

Mable Sue Murphy, age 81, of Cleveland, departed this life on Monday, February 15, 2021 at her son’s residence in Ocoee. Born on September 20, 1939 in Tellico Plains to the late Glen and Ethrie Burgess Murphy, she lived a majority of her life in Bradley County and attended Covenant Baptist Church. She loved spending time outdoors, helping others, and spending time with her friends and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Dalton; and brothers, Denny and J.B.Murphy.
She is survived by her children, Freda Dalton, Freddy Dalton, Sr., Terry Dalton (Carol) and Keith Dalton; grandchildren, Ricky Musgrove(Paula), Karen Crowder(Chris), Jeanna Myers(Garrett), Marcus Dalton(Becca)and Freddy Dalton, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Shleby Ables(Levi), Brittany Crowder, Jake Crowder,DFavin Moon, Aubrey Meyers, Finn Myers, Cole Myers, and Sully Dalton; great-great grandchildren, Garrett Ables and Oakley Lingerfelt; sister Faye Leamon, and brother Jerry Murphy. Several nieces , nephews, extended family and friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Mable Sue Murphy will be held at 3p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with Brother Gary Higgins officiating. Interment will follow at Coker Creek Cemetery with Marcus Dalton, Levi Ables, Ricky Musgrove, Austin Didona, Danny Beshears, and Tucker Beshears serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 1-3p.m Sunday prior to the funeral hour at the funeral home.
