Mabel West

Obituary
Mabel West, 92, a resident of Cleveland went to join her Lord and Savior from her residence on Wednesday night February 1, 2012 surrounded by her family. Mabel was born on June 11, 1919 in Soddy-Daisy, TN a daughter of the late W. D. and Fannie Howell. Mabel has been a lifelong resident of the Cleveland area and worked for many years at T. H. Payne and also Stamper’s Furniture Store. Mabel was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed gardening and her skills won her the title “Yard of the Month” many times. She will be most remembered and loved however for being a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents Mabel is preceded in death by her husband Harvey Franklin West, two sisters Zelma Howell and Pauline Martin and two brothers Tommy Howell and Delmer Howell.
She leaves here to cherish her memory one son and daughter-in-law Charles F. and Debbie West, five grandchildren and their spouses Kenny West (Jessica), Billy West (Kelly), Keith West (Marisa), James West, Kim West Breese (Clark), six great grandchildren Megan West, Katie West, Ali West, Kayla West, Kyle West, and Tucker Herrod, and two sisters Ruth Beck of Cleveland, TN and Wilma Treadwell of Lafayette, GA and a host of other extended family members.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church located at 2412 Georgetown Road with Charles Keith West officiating. The family will receive friends from 11AM til 1:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with the grandsons serving as pallbearers.
