Mabel Jadoon

March 20, 1963 — March 7, 2025

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loved one, Mabel Jadoon, March 7, 2025, at the age of 61. Born March 20, 1963, daughter of the late Earnest Thomas and Mandy (King) Rutland, Mable's childhood was spent in the Brookhaven, MS area.

In Mabel's early years she was a devoted sister and daughter. She was highly respected and known for her confidence. Professionally she was always known as a hard worker and an excellent leader who always took great care of her employees "her kids".

Survived by her husband, Allahdad (Khan) Jadoon. There are many precious stories to tell of the life they shared together. The beautiful home they shared in Chattanooga was filled with love, family, and delicious food. Together Mabel and Khan always worked hard, laughed often and built a beautiful life.

Mabel was an avid reader who loved John Grisham novels. She also enjoyed watching old cartoons, westerns, British comedies, and mysteries. One of the things that always stood out was her writing. She loved to write tidbits that spoke to her down in her notebooks so that she could go back and enjoy/share them with others later. She would write funny sayings or little bits of wisdom down and always had something new to share.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by eight brothers and two sisters: Laverne Arnold, Eugene Calhoun, Thomas Rutland, Roy Rutland, James Rutland, Donald Rutland, David Rutland, Benny Dean Rutland, Earnestine Rutland Boyd, Annie Merle Rutland.

Also surviving are two sisters and one brother: Brenda Rutland Lockwood, Jeanette Rutland Fuller, and Glen Ray Rutland; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who meant the world to her.

A gathering of friends and family will be Wednesday March 12, 2025, 6:00-8:00 PM at Companion Funeral Home Original Chapel.

She was very strong willed, savvy and wise. All of the wonderful things she brought to our lives will be sorely missed. She will always remain deeply loved and missed.
