Loyce Key

November 15, 1941 — April 26, 2025

Loyce Carden Key, age 83, passed away on April 26, 2025, in Fort Oglethrope, GA. Born on November 15, 1941, in Cleveland, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family and the community. Loyce proudly served as an Administrative Assistant for several pastors and Hamilton County, where she made lasting connections and left a positive impact on those around her.

Loyce was previously married to the late Harry K Hays who preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Harold Key, and her loving daughter, Mary Runyon, along with son-in-law Will Runyon, step -daughters Debbie (Rick) Allison and Pamela (Fabian) Scott. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Greta, Emmaline, and Oliver Runyon. Loyce is also survived by her sisters, Joyce Clark and Joanne Lee, and her brother-in-law, Don Lee, as well as her nephews, Mark (Sheila) and Tim(TIna) Lee and several great nephews and nieces.

Loyce had a passion for shopping and travel, often delighting in discovering new places and creating cherished memories with family. She brought joy and laughter into the lives of those she encountered, and her spirit will be greatly missed.

Loyce's remains will be cremated, a celebration of her life, honoring her memory and the many lives she touched will be held at First Baptist Church in Chattanooga 401 Gateway Ave on May 13. Visitation will be at 10am with the service immediately following at 11am. Funeral Services will be conducted by Rev Thomas Quisenberry and Rev Will Runyon. Loyce was preceded in death by: Her parents William Carden and Lennie Carden, and her nephew John Clark
