Obituary
Louis L. Ivins, 77, a resident of Cleveland, passed away at home, surrounded by his wife and children, Friday, March 13, 2015, He was born in Newburgh New York, May 28, 1937. He was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith and a member of the Cedar Ridge SDA Church of Georgetown.
Lou attended Shenandoah Valley Academy for high school and graduated from Andrews University in 1962. His first career was working for his church as a teacher and boys dean in many boarding academies across the U.S. from NJ to CA. Later he entered the business world and worked as a factory representative and salesman of conveyor systems. That was his work and he enjoyed it, but his first love was The Lord, his family and his church family; they were his life. They were the reason, when asked how he was, he would always say, Im just peachy.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 55 years,Beverly: son and wife, Gregory and Rebecca; daughter and husband, Pamela and John Dysinger; son, Stanley; Lous sister, Norma Canova; twelve grandchildren: Christopher, Brandon, Brooke, Kirsten, Christian, Jonathan, Kendra, Savannah, Joshua, Nathanial, Zack, Caleb and three great grandchildren.
The service, Celebrating His Life, will be held at the Cedar Ridge SDA Church on March 21, 2015. From 2:30-3:00, prelude music, 3:00 the service. The family will visit with friends and family in the fellowship hall before and after the service.
