Loui A. Castillo

January 4, 1979 — March 1, 2020

On March 1, 2020 Loui A. Castillo passed away at his home after a battle with ALS. He was a young 41 year old who praised God’s goodness every day. He was a blessing to those he met and those who knew him. Loui’s faith allowed him to endure this awful disease with a smile and a shrug. He knew his Maker and hated to leave our family but he was excited to see his Heavenly home where he could walk and talk again. He was a member of Delano Baptist Church and a long-time employee of Waupaca.

He was preceded in death by his mother – Amalia Castillo and his father-in-law and best friend Austin Shadden.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years Susan, and their children Tyler (Breanna) Williams, Jayda and Jazmin. Many other kids that looked up to him as a dad but one in particular, Scarlett Snyder. His mother-in-law Louise Shadden, his father- Alvaro Castillo, lil-sis Maria (Juan) Cortez, brothers Nazario (Nalley), Freddy (Anna), and Edgar Castillo. Sister and brother-in-laws: Jenay (Steve) Wolfe, Melissa Tullock (Scott Rice), Jennifer Menchaca, and Steve Shadden, very special friends: Kris “Squishy” Elliott, Alex Allen, and Caleb Martin. Many special nieces and nephews: Laura (Ethan), Matthew, Nicholas, Isaiah, Axel, Amaida, Tristian, Isabella, Antulio (Auburn), Christian, Emmanual, Skylar, Criss, Juliana, Jesus, Luis, Jolie, Sneider, Elio, Emma, Risa. Can't forget his beloved dog, Brantley!

Special thanks to the amazing staff of Hearth Hospice that have become more like family. Also a big thanks to Lora Baker and Olivia Wilson.

Funeral services will be held at Delano Baptist Church. Family will receive friends on March 4, 2020 from 5pm-7pm followed by funeral services at 7pm officiated by Rev. Jamie Johnson. Family and friends will assemble at 9:30am, March 5th Thursday and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 11:00am interment.
In the words of Loui, “GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!!”
