Lou Ella Palmer

Lou Ella Palmer, a resident of Athens, TN passed away on Monday morning, September 5, 2022 in a local healthcare facility. She was born in in Sweetwater, TN a daughter of the late Roy & Mary Thompson. Lou graduated from Cleveland State Community College with an Associates of Science degree and went on to graduate from Tennessee Wesleyan with a Bachelor of Science degree. She was retired from Athens Products and enjoyed gardening and above all spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by four brothers Buddy Thompson, Claude Thompson, Wayne Thompson, and Johnny Thompson, and the father of her son Charles Ray Palmer.

Lou leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Dustin Palmer and his companion Sarah Schubert, five sisters, Earline McKheean, Shelby Knox, Kathy Morrow (Larry), Vicki Page (John) and Markie Malone (Eddie), two sister in laws Betty Thompson and Sheila Thompson, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

The family will have a private graveside and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donation be made to the funeral home.
