Lorrie Lynn Smith

Mrs. Lorrie Lynn Smith Thurman(LuLu), of Dayton,TN passed away on Monday, September 6,2021 at the age of 48 at Rhea Medical Center after a long struggle with her Health.She was a life long resident of Dayton,TN.
Lorrie was born a Legend to the Greatest parents William E. and Donna M. Smith on January 11, 1973 in Dayton,TN. She grew up as the Second eldest of Four and attended and graduated Rhea County High School. In April 12 2007, she married the love of her life, Thomas Thurman Jr. Lorrie was truly one of a kind and an amazing woman. She dedicated her life to helping and caring for other's.She was the best big sister anyone could ever want or have. Best Friend Kimberly Poff was so impacted by her she came home with her and we adopted her into the family where she became Lorrie's Sister.
Lorrie was a life long caregiver,mother to ALL,Daughter,Wife,Sister,Niece,Cousin,Aunt and Friend..She was beloved by many and help to raise and nurture and imapact many children;Warren E. Smith,Breann and Chris Salinas,Hunter Poff, Daniel Allen Smith(Danny-boy)Aaliyah Nelson,Eric Wetherbee,Bentley and C.J Salinas,Kinzlee Mae Parks,Destiny Lockhart,Morgan Allen,Tracie Shannon,Kayla Mears,Christina Fiztgerald,Tristan Hood and many more.You all were the Joy of her life..
Lorrie is survived by her Husband Thomas Thurman Jr.; her Mom and Dad William & Donna Smith;Mother in law; Juanita Thurman; her Brothers Matthew ( Angela Smith), Sister Elisa Smith(John Ducommun), Brother Tim Smith(Christy Sullivan),Brother Fred Poff(Kimberly Poff),her Sisters Rachel Conner, Michelle Sneed,Sarah Clark; Many favorite aunt's and uncles,cousins that she loved so very much; She is preceded in death by her GrandParents Trester E. Smith and Dorthy Mae Smith,GrandParents Warren Burchard and Muriel Posey Burchard;Uncles, Warren Allen Burchard, Tom Paul;Aunts; Leatha Weatherbee and Diane Burchard.
Memorial services for Lorrie Lynn Smith Thurman will be at Pleasant View cemetery where her ashes will be laid to rest. We ask that social distancing and masks be worn..and memorial service will be Saturday September 18th at 10 A.m.
