Lora Oliver

Ms. Lora Oliver, 83, passed away at the home of her daughter, Sandra Oliver on Aug. 21st, 2016. She was surrounded by 2 of her daughters and other family members. She was a resident of Kinston, North Carolina prior to moving to Cleveland, Tennessee in 2014. She was born on September 9th, 1932. Ms. Oliver enjoyed visiting the mountains or the beach and reading a good book. Her faith in Jesus Christ and her family were the cornerstones of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, a Baptist minister, John F. Oliver; her parents, Elbert & Melissa Lane; her sister, Clara Mae Cayton, and her brother, Bill Lane.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her children, Linda Oliver, of Kitty Hawk, NC; Theresa Garcia, of Cleveland, TN, and Sandra Oliver, of Cleveland, TN; six grandchildren, Michael Herring, Christy Herring-Maher, Kyle Barber; Heather Tyndall, Erica Turner Farmer, and Michelle Turner; three great-grandchildren, Daniel Moore, Shane Farmer, and Savannah Maher; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 31st, 2016 at 10AM at Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 4488 Hwy 70 West, Kinston, NC 28504.
