Obituary for Lola Marie Marjamaa

Lola Marie Marjamaa 92, was born July 24, 1931 in Chattanooga, TN and died Wednesday October 18, 2023 at Hospice House of Chattanooga, TN after a lengthy illness.

 

Lola Marie traveled before eventually settling in Calumet, MI for over fifty years. There she served on the City Council. She and her late husband, Ronald Bianchi owned and operated "The Town Pump and Oak Room Supper Club" in Calumet, MI, prior to his death. Later she married Paul Marjamaa and served with him in Church Ministry. She was a saved believer in Jesus Christ. She returned to Chattanooga, TN on December 31, 2022 to spend her remaining time on earth near family. While back in Chattanooga she resided at Creekside Retirement Home and made many friends, continuing to minister to others whenever possible.

 

She was preceded in death by her husbands Ronald Bianchi and Paul Marjamaa of Calumet, MI. Also preceded in death by her father Ronald Stone and mother Wilma Ingram of Chattanooga, TN; a son Jerry Stone of Wisconsin; a daughter Casandra Haapala of Michigan; and a great grandson JD Haapala of Wisconsin.

 

She is survived by a sister, Judith (John) Wirtz of Atlanta, GA. A daughter, Sherry (Stanley) Whitfield of Ringgold, GA. Two sons Paul (Rhoma) Stone and Ronald (Mary) Bianchi of Chattanooga, TN. A son in law Wayne Haapala Sr. of Calumet. Five grandsons Shawn (Kim) Whitfield of Chattanooga, TN; Shannon (Dayna) Whitfield of Chickamauga, GA; Troy Haapala (Wendy) of Calumet, MI; Eugene (Jodie) Haapala of Wisconsin; and Wayne Jr. (Melissa) Haapala of Connecticut. She had several great grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew.

 

There will be a "private family gathering " for the celebration of Lola Marie's life at a later date.
