Obituary for Lois Ann Benoit


Lois Ann Benoit, 67, of Etowah, Tennessee, passed away on June 18, 2023, at her residence in Etowah. She was born on September 30, 1955, in Wayndotte, Michigan, to Neil and Lena (Marchyok) Wilson.


Lois was a devout Catholic and found great joy in her faith. She had a passion for horseback riding and spent many cherished moments in the saddle. Gardening was another of her favorite pastimes, allowing her to connect with nature and create beauty with her green thumb. Above all, Lois was a dedicated full-time mother to her six children, and her love and guidance shaped their lives. She was also a proud grandmother to six grandchildren.


Lois is survived by her loving husband, David Benoit, and their children: Derek Benoit, Wesley Benoit, Cory Benoit, Cameron Benoit, and daughter Brittnay Nicholson. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Emily Benoit, Zachary Benoit, Nathan Nicholson, Faith Nicholson, Payton Benoit, and Paige Benoit.


She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Kaye Macoit, and her son Jeremy Benoit.


Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and offer condolences at the Companion Funeral Home - Athens Chapel on June 23, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral services have been entrusted to Companion Funeral and Cremation Service, Athens Chapel.


During this time of loss, let us remember Lois for her unwavering faith, her love for her family, and the beautiful memories she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace.
