Obituary

Lloyd “Tip” Smith, 62, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Sunday, January 11th, 2015 at Skyridge Medical Center. Tip was born on February 2nd, 1952 in Decatur, TN a son of the late Otis & Beulah Smith. His favorite pastimes were fishing with his son Jeff, being the "saving grace" to his daughter Bealuh and living each moment of his life to the fullest, but will be most remembered for being a loving and caring father and grandfather to his entire family.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by one sister Margaret Fugate and one brother Jay Shelton.

Tip leaves behind to cherish his memory one daughter Bealuh Ann Manson and husband Ron, three sons Jeffrey Gibson and wife Carolyn, Phillip Gibson and Michael Gibson, two sisters Shirley Fortner and Dorothy Cross, one brother Ronnie Smith, ten grandchildren Hunter Roberson, Chloe Roberson, Chase Roberson, Tony Goodman, Christopher Gibson, Cheyenne Gibson, Kaylee Ann Gibson, Collin Gibson, Wesley Gibson and Lazarus Gibson, four great grandchildren, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Tuesday night, January 13th, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Josh Taylor officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday night from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time in the chapel.
