Lisa Krueger Stone

Obituary

Lisa Krueger Stone, 48, of Signal Mountain, TN, went home to Heaven to live with our God and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 23, 2012 after a brave and gallant fight with cancer.

Lisa is survived by her beloved son, William Bryan (Trey) Stone, III, and, her loving husband, William Bryan (Bill) Stone, II.  Also, her parents, Larry and Marilyn Krueger, Henderson, NV; brother, Jonathan Krueger, Los Angeles, CA; her parents in law, Bryan and Ann Stone, Rainbow City, AL, and brother in law, John Stone, Rainbow City, AL.  Lisa was welcomed to heaven by her grandparents, Julius and Bertha Krueger, and Charles and Travis Scott.

A native of Tullahoma, TN, and later Brentwood, TN, Mrs. Stone was a graduate of Tullahoma High School, and, Middle Tennessee State University, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi.  Lisa was an accomplished pianist and database programmer.  She was employed by Schneider Electric/Square D Company for over 16 years, and had devoted the remainder of her life to Bill, Trey, her friends, neighbors and her Bible Study Sisters of Community Bible Studies, Franklin, TN.

Lisa was a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Sanctuary Choir, and formerly of Brentwood Baptist Church, where she taught children’s choir and Sunday School classes for over 12 years.  A shining example of God’s love and grace, Lisa was revealed in her study, and love, of the Scriptures.  There is certainly a new angel singing in the angelic choirs of heaven with Lisa’s earthly departure!

Bill and Trey wish to thank:  Jonathan Krueger for caring for Lisa during her fight at M.D. Anderson Center and back home in Signal Mountain; Drs. Bynon, Papadopoulos, Janku and Lee, as well as the other doctors, nurses and caregivers at M.D. Anderson Center, Houston, TX, Alexian Signal Mountain and Hospice of Chattanooga; Lisa’s special sisters in Christ:  Karen Smith, Julie Perez, Rebecca Wert, Amy Mizell, the Community Bible Study ladies, the “Wigwam ladies”, her PATA sisters; the Fayette Court cul-de-sac; the families of Conner Creek; the communities of Signal Mountain, Brentwood, Tullahoma and Rainbow City; and her “adopted” Auburn family.  A special thank you to Lisa’s pastors, Dr. Mike Glenn, Brentwood Baptist Church, Brentwood, TN and Dr. Bill Dudley, Rev. Margaret Ferguson, Dr. Tim Filston, Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.  God Bless you all.

On earth, Lisa loved and was loved.  Her departure leaves a void for us left behind, however, rejoice!  She lives eternally with her God, our God, because by grace, she was saved.

We thank everyone who has lifted Lisa, and Trey and Bill in your prayers during this battle.  Please continue to pray for Trey and Bill, and all who know and love Lisa.
