Linford Albert Fray

Linford Albert Fray, 83, passed away on December 7 2023, after a short time in the hospital due to illness. Linford was born on March 6 1940 to Herbert and Muriel Fray in Berkshire, Westmoreland Jamaica. He never earned a high school education but learned important trades that provided for him and his family.

In the late 90s Linford met Hortense. They wed and spent some time living in Jamaica before moving to New York where he became a US citizen. They never had children together, but Linford started his generation with Rema Fray having six children whom he is survived by: Eloreen, Sylvia, Janet, Andrea, Georgia, and Albert Jr.

After retiring he spent his time keeping busy with projects and helping wherever he could. After the death of his wife he moved to Cleveland, Tn where he spent the remainder of his days.

Linford is also survived by his 21 grandchildren: Kion, Shelly-ann, Mendel, Kerry-ann, Jonathan, Andre(Matthew), Jardon, Tinia, Janiss, Jashae, Reuel-Marie, Reyandrea, Michealia, Marvin, Felicie, Rojai, Nathaniel (Tia), Roberta, and Danielle; 11 great-grandchildren: Autiyana, Alana, Keryce, Stephan, Scott, Jaelyn, Jenesis and others.

Linford is also survived by his siblings Patrick Fray, Wilbert Fray (Vern), Clement Fray, Sigrey Fray, Zedford Fray, Rita Fray, Melceta Fray (Fay) and Pet Fray. He was preceded in death by his wives Rema and Hortense, brother Ealston Fray, step-daughter Donna Marie Fray, and son Milton Fray.

Memorial service for Linford will be on December 16 2023 at 2415 Georgetown Rd NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 from 1-4pm.
