Linda Waldrop Sortino Mills

Linda Waldrop Sortino Mills, 75, a resident of Athens, Tn passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at her home. She was born on September 9, 1945 in Haleyville, AL a daughter of the late Elzo & Grace Waldrop. Linda was raised and spent a good amount of her life in Alabama and has made McMinn County her home for the past eleven years. She was of the Christian faith. Linda is retired from Paccar after 20 years of service. She enjoyed craft making, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son Tony Sortino and three siblings Cecil Waldrop, Laverne Gregory and Wanda Glenns.
Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory four children Michael Sortino of Athens, TN, Joseph Sortino Jr. and wife Ellen of Oak Lawn, IL, Maria Dokianos and husband Chris of New Lenox, IL and Susan Sortino of Chicago, IL, 12 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews & other extended family members along with a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN.
