Linda Sue Brown Mosayebi-Tracy

Linda Sue Brown Mosayebi-Tracy, 67, a resident of Bradley County, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Erlanger East Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.

She was born on March 1, 1952 at Speck Hospital in Cleveland, TN, to the late Paul A. and Ethel B. Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Marianne Carter and brother-in-law Bill B. McTaggart.

Linda graduated from Cleveland High School in 1970 and attended Belmont Baptist College in Nashville, TN before living in California until 1978. She honorably served her country as a soldier in the US Army Reserve in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. As an active member of the Women’s Democratic Party, she served in various roles throughout the years. She was a Precinct Official at the Michigan Avenue Voting District and took great pride in her duties to make each election run smoothly under her supervision.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, James L. Tracy; her children: Zahra M. Mosayebi, of Cleveland, Zachery R. Mosayebi (Lindsay), of Brentwood, TN; her beloved grandchildren: Kazah De’Shae Whittaker, Tessa Marie Mosayebi, Jacob Elliot Mosayebi, and Eleanor Jane Mosayebi; the father of her children, M.R. Mosayebi; her sisters: Josette B. Lewis-McTaggart, Leesa B. Hoskins (Charles), Debbie B. Blankinship (Robert St. Clair); her brothers: Paul A. Brown, Jr. and Charles “Chuck” W. Brown; her mother and father-in-law Joanne and John Tracy of Vermont and sister-in-law Lisa Bove (Tom) of Vermont; nephews and nieces: Bobby (Corky) D. Lewis, Jr. (Nora), J. Alan Lewis (Christy), Nathaniel L. Brown (Sarah Beth), Natalie Brown (Jason Ladd), Andrea Hoskins-Kincannon (Bradley), Cody A. Hoskins and Megan Lee Hoskins; several great-nieces and great-nephews, many cousins, and her very special friends of many years, Jill Ryback and Roxanne Guinn.

Linda will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She opened up her heart and her home to so many people throughout her lifetime and found great purpose in caring for others with dignity and love.

Her family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-12 noon on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in the chapel of the Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland, TN. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 12 noon in the chapel. Interment will follow at the United States National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN at 2 p.m.
