Linda Sanders Lane

Linda Sanders Lane, 71, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Life Care Center of Collegedale. She was born in Cleveland on March 10, 1949 a daughter of the late Jesse Sanders and Irene Green Sanders. Linda was a member of Elkmont Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was a devoted minister’s wife for many years. She loved various kinds of crafts and was gifted at making things with her hands. Linda however will be most remembered for the love she had for her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband the Reverend Thomas E. Lane, one son Steven Lane and three brothers Denn Sanders, Leeroy Sanders and Dwight Sanders.
Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory one son Eddie Lane and his wife Stacy of Ooltewah, TN, one daughter Angie Sawyer and her husband Lee of Georgetown, TN, three grandchildren Logan Sawyer, Marijke Sawyer and Nehemiah Sawyer, Linda’s best friend Elizabeth Harvell, numerous other extended family members and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 15, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Cleveland chapel of Companion Funeral Home. A service celebrating her life will began following the visitation at 7:00 PM with the Reverend Johnny Hood officiating.
The interment and committal service will take place on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the entire staff of Life Care of Collegedale and Hearth Hospice for the excellent care provided to Linda and also to her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made in Linda’s memory to either the Juvenile Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association to further research.
