In Loving Memory of Linda Lee McNelley

April 26, 1944 - October 30, 2023

Linda Lee McNelley, a beloved member of the Riceville community, passed away on October 30, 2023, at the age of 79. She was born on April 26, 1944, in Riceville, Tennessee, to her loving parents.

Linda was a compassionate and dedicated nurse who cared deeply for the well-being of others. She pursued her passion for nursing and earned an Associate's Degree in the field. Throughout her career, Linda touched the lives of countless patients with her tender care and warm heart.

Aside from her career, Linda found joy in singing with various groups at her church, Meadowfork Baptist Church. Her melodious voice uplifted the spirits of all who had the pleasure of listening. She also had a deep love for literature, often found immersed in a good book. Journaling was another cherished pastime of hers, as she captured her thoughts and experiences to be treasured for years to come.

Linda had an unwavering love for animals, especially her dogs, who brought her constant joy and companionship. Her kindness and compassion extended to all living creatures.

Linda will be deeply missed by her surviving children: Jay Clark (Jennifer), Sherry Farmer, and Curtis Clark (Jeannine). She is also survived by her brothers, Dennis Riden and Rick Riden, her sister, Karen Abels, as well as her grandchildren, Courtney Clark, Chris Clark, Jacob Clark, Brooklyn Sewell, Dawson Hindman, Victoria Powell, Madison Farmer, Emma Clark, Jesse Clark, and Anna Clark. Her great grandchildren, Jackson Ross, Ember Sewell, Wren Powell, Carson Clark, Charlie Clark, and Carter Fletcher, were a source of immense pride and happiness for her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Newt and Mildred Riden, and her beloved siblings, Sybil Orr, Betty Gardin, Vicki Pritchett, and Wade Riden.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Linda's life will be held on November 4, 2023, at 12:00 pm at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service in Cleveland, Tennessee. Prior to the service, a Visitation will take place at 10:00 am at the same location.

Pastor Ray Ingram will officiate the service, offering comforting words and solace. The Meadowfork Quartet will provide the music, offering heartfelt melodies that reflect Linda's love for singing.

Linda Lee McNelley will forever remain in our hearts, her legacy of love and compassion continuing to inspire us all. May she rest in eternal peace.
