Linda Jane Ward

Linda Jane Ward, 79, of Cleveland, TN passed away on June 2, 2022. She was born on October 26, 1942 to the late James Floyd Burress and Cordellia Goodman Burress. Jane was a gifted musician who sang and performed in many gospel groups. She loved flowers and planting gardens at her home. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her mother and father she is preceded in death by her siblings: Ralph Burress, Steve Burress, James “Ed” Burress, Jeanetta Stewart, and Myra Queener.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 58 years, Bobby Ward; two sons Brian Ward (Trish) and Randy Ward (Teresa); grandchildren: Chynna Ward, Alyssa Ward, Bobby Ward, and Janey Goodwin; great grandchildren: Brian, Axel, Marlie, and Baylee. Her sisters, Shirrell Coapman, Donna Seibers, Sheila Smith, Jewell Bray, Hazel Willis and Margie Garbsch.
Jane’s family will receive friends on Monday June 6th from 12pm until 3pm at Thompson Springs Baptist Church located at 5660 Bates Pike SE, Cleveland, TN 37323. A celebration of her life will follow the visitation at 3pm at the church with Pastor Kevin Teague officiating. She will be laid to rest following the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
