Linda Gail Brooks

Obituary
Linda Gail Brooks, 59, a resident of Decatur, TN passed away on Sunday morning, February 17, 2013 in a Knoxville hospital. Linda was a lifelong resident of the Athens area born on October 26, 1952 a daughter of the later Robert and Hazel Thurman. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church of Decatur. Linda enjoyed crafts and attending the local flea markets.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one sister Phyllis Thurman.
Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of forty four years John Henry Brooks, two sons Jason Lee Brooks and wife Kelli and John Albert Books, two brothers Lonnie Thurman (Rose) and Bobby R. Thurman (Cheryl), four grandchildren Brittny Brooks, Jacob Brooks, McKayla Brooks, and Michelle Brooks, and numerous other extend family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday night, February 19th, 2013 in the parlor of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service located at 2415 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. There will be a private burial in the Short Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
