Linda DeFriese

Linda Sue Dyer DeFriese, 77, a resident of LaGrange, GA went to her Heavenly home on Saturday evening, March 8, 2025, from Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Chattanooga, TN on August 17, 1947, a daughter of the late J.C. and Vera Dyer. Although Linda did work at various jobs during lifetime, the two most important things treasured as great accomplishments were working alongside her husband in the ministry and caring for her beloved family. During their time of ministry, they have lived and served several places in Georgia, Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and a good deal of time in Cleveland, TN.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by three siblings Wayne Dyer, Janice Smith and Carolyn Delashmitt and her mother and father-in-law C.L. & Lela DeFriese.

Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of almost 59 years, Conrad Lynn DeFriese, two children Sherri Buck and her husband Jerry also of LaGrange, GA and David DeFriese and his wife Jaffnie of Carrolllton, GA, six grandchildren Bradley Buck, Colby Buck, Kaitlyn Williams (AJ), Jayme Griffin (Brad), Josie DeFriese and Riley DeFriese, two great grandchildren she cherished dearly Ryder Griffin and Hunter Barringer, three sibling Charlotte Keil, Peggy Donahoo and Robert Dyer, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM in the Shelli Beth Cody Memorial Sanctuary of Companion Funeral Home located at 2412 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN.

A service celebrating Linda's life will follow lead by her husband and son. Interment will follow in the McInturff Cemetery in Birchwood, TN with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
