Obituary

Lillie Walker, 83, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on February 1st, 2015 at her home. She was born in Decatur, TN on January 4th, 1932 a daughter of the late Noah and Lona Dake. Lillie has lived most of her life in the Cleveland area. She was well known for babysitting numerous children in the Cleveland area. Lillie was of the Baptist faith and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She loved her pets -" Lady", "Chleo", and "Baby".

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters Pauline Templton of Decatur and Ruby Hanshaw of Florida, a baby brother Robert Dake, her husband Hubert Walker and an adopted son Curtis Crawford.

She is survived by one daughter Linda Walker Bailey, two sons, Joe and Monty Walker, two grandsons Josh and Zackry Walker, one granddaughter Lisa Walker Kyler (Roger), one great granddaughter Mya Kyler, on sister Bertha Dake of Decatur, four brothers T.F. Dake of Decatur, Kenny Dake of Decatur, LaFayette Dake of Athens and J. M. Dake of Dayton, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday night, February 2nd, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN. They will also receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.

A celebration of her life is planned for Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Temple Baptist Church located at 3070 Harrison Pike in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Paul Fox and the Reverend Keith Watson. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
