Lillian Placek

Lillian Diane "Cheta" Placek (75) went to meet her God early in the morning on June 18th, 2024. Born in Ringgold, Georgia, Cheta spent many cherished years in Cleveland, Tennessee. She had a deep love for gardening and cooking, and was a devoted wife and mother to her husband James Edward Placek and their two sons, James and Kevin. Family gatherings were her passion, and she brought joy and warmth to every occasion.

In 2001, Cheta met Bruce Bish, and they fell deeply in love, remaining inseparable for the last 23 years.

Cheta is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Frances Gregory; stepfather, Lyle Gregory; brother, Gerald Vaughn; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her loving partner, Bruce Bish; her two sons, James (wife: April) and Kevin; and six grandchildren: Kyler, Karli, Lexi, Kash, Chantz, and Chandlar. She is also survived by her brothers, Kenneth (wife: Donna) Weaver and Larry Vaughn, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13th, from noon until the time of service at 1:30 PM at Companion Funeral & Cremation, 2415 Georgetown NW, Cleveland, TN. Interment will be private.

Cheta's loving spirit and dedication to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
