Lewis Partain

Lewis M. "Demmy" Partain, 89, of Athens, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 24th, his 58th wedding anniversary. He was born on October 6, 1934 in the South Liberty community to Mitchell and Ethel Partain. Demmy retired from TVA, and went back to work selling cars at L&M Motors until he was 75 to stay busy. Demmy was a wonderful father and was preceded in death by his beloved son, Todd Lewis Partain, and will never "miss that boy" again. He is survived by his beloved wife, Alice "Aleo" Casteel Partain, other family members, and friends. The family of Mr. Partain would like to thank Dr. Walter Rucker, Adoration Hospice, and Tennessee State Veterans' Home of Cleveland for their loving care.

The family will have a graveside service at McMinn Memory Gardens on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 11 am.
