Lawrence C. Hewgley

Larry Carney Hewgley, 89, passed away on January 23, 2024, in Cleveland, Tennessee. The son of the late Robert Ashley Hewgley and Florence Adele Carnes Hewgley. His life was graced by the love of his late wife, Peggy, with whom he shared a beautiful partnership that remained a guiding light throughout his years. Larry was also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Billy, and John Hewgley, and his caring sister, Lucille Potts.

Larry's legacy is carried on through his children, Keith Hewgley (married to Debbie) and Steve Hewgley. His grandchildren, Jessica Hartman, Madison Hewgley, and Ashley Hewgley, as well as his great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Jacks, and Abigail Hartman.

Before settling in Cleveland, Larry and Peggy resided in Hendersonville, Tennessee, where their contributions to community life and the First United Methodist Church left an indelible mark. Fans of sports, they shared a passion for the Tennessee Volunteers, a cherished remembrance of Larry's time at his alma mater. In his final years, Larry resided at Avail Senior Living, where his charismatic presence continued to bring joy to those around him.

Larry will be remembered for his engaging personality, his unfaltering commitment to his loved ones, and his ability to make every person he met feel special. His was a life well-lived, and his spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
