Lawrence Earnest Hunt

Lawrence Earnest Hunt, 76, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Wednesday afternoon, July 12th, 2017 in a local hospital. He was born in Cleveland on June 10th, 1941 a son of the late Earnest & Lillie Green Hunt. He and his late brother James were known carpenters and worked locally for many years. Lawrence enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant daughter Tammy Jean Hunt, six siblings Hershel Hunt, Charles Hunt, Thelma Hunt, Hazel Gallaher, James Hunt and Jay Hunt.

Lawrence leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Bessie Faye Murr Hunt, one daughter Janet Mayweather and husband Kenneth, one son Jeff Hunt and wife Amy, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home parlor on Saturday July 15th, 2017. A celebration of his life is planned for Saturday night, July 15th, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with his nephew Terry Hunt officiating.

The interment and committal service is planned for Sunday, July 16th, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Fort Hill Cemetery with his family and friends serving as pallbearers.
