Lawrence Calvin Jenkins

Lawrence Calvin Jenkins, 91, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away at a local healthcare facility.
He served in World War ll in the Navy on the Destroyer Escort Donaldson. His professional work life included working in men’s clothing for retailers Tom Law, Hardy and Caudle in Chattanooga. He later opened his own freight line which grew to include twelve trucks and thirty trailers. His clients included Duracell, Maytag, Olen, Bowater, and in partnership with Norfolk Southern. He was married to Patsy Ruth Osborne Jenkins for sixty-seven years. Patsy worked for Central Service here in Cleveland, The Electric Power Board in Chattanooga, She was talented interior designer and architect.
He leaves behind nieces, nephews, many friends, and close family.
He was truly a kind and giving caregiver to his wife for many years, and gentle sweet person to everyone. He will be greatly missed.
The family ask in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or Valley Head United Methodist Church.
