Larry Yarber II

January 10, 1997 — February 22, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Yarber II, who left this world on February 22, 2025, at the age of 28. Born on January 10, 1997, in Etowah, Tennessee, Larry was the beloved son of Larry Yarber and Edith Yarber and brother to Jordan Yarber. Larry loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles, shooting, travel and especially his boxer Lucy.

Larry was a man of many talents. From his days at Buena High School where he attended with some of his very best friends Ryan, Dylan, and Madison, to his time at MMI Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Phoenix, AZ. There he met Robert who later became his roommate in Phoeniz, AZ. He was always known for his sense of humor and infectious laughter.

After high school, Larry went on to join the Army, which further exemplified his dedication and passion for helping others. He was stationed at Fort Riley and served for three years. He was a specialist in Combat Engineering and made many great friends along the way including Slusher. Receiving several medals of honor which include Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon. After completing his schooling at MMI he went on to work at BMW and Harley Davidson. He was currently employed at HBR Powersports in Athens, TN, as the head mechanic, where he brought joy and laughter to his coworkers every day.

Larry leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love that will be cherished by all who knew him. He never met a stranger and always greeted everyone with a hug. His witty jokes and kind heart will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Larry. May you forever ride on spreading joy.

A celebration of life is being held on Sunday, March 16th, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Athens Elks Lodge (109 Hill Street, Athens, TN 37303).
