Obituary
Larry L. Simmons Sr., 70, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 18, 2015 from a long illness. He was a retired Air Force Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife Karran Simmons, his mother Virginia Simmons (Moore), father Albert Simmons, brothers Billy Jean Simmons and Jimmy Simmons; sisters: Mildred Folwell, Maxine Duncan, Shirley Stewart, Edith Cox, Juanita Chestlock, Phyliss Simmons and Mary Alice Solanzo.
He is survived by his brother Albert Simmons and sister Delores Chestlock; daughters Quindora A. Simmons, Patricia Rogers, Mechelle Jones; stepdaughters: Shannon, Martina, and Susan. His sons Larry L. Simmons Jr., Steven Simmons, and stepson Michael. In addition to these, he leaves behind several extended family members and friends and a very special friend Shirley Prueit.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday February 23, 2015 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery will full military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00am until the 12:00pm service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project located at Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.
