Larry Ross Blackwell

Obituary
Larry Ross Blackwell, 62, a resident of Benton, TN passed away on Sunday December 11, 2011 in an Athens hospital. Larry was awarded the National Defense Medal for his service in the United States Army.
Larry was a son of the late Ted and Alice Massingale Blackwell and is also preceded in death by three sisters Dianne Lowe, Mary Raby, and Louise Blackwell, and two brothers Everett Blackwell and Robert Blackwell.
Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory one son Larry Blackwell Jr. and one daughter Lori Blackwell both of Las Cruces, NM, three sisters Retta Cate and Ollie Lewis both of Benton, TN, Helen Braswell of Wauchula FL, and Alma Malone of Decatur, TN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 2:30 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery will full military honors. The Reverend James Staton will be officiating.
