Larry Richard Markle

Larry Richard Markle, 72, a resident of Niota, TN passed away on Monday afternoon, July 11, 2022 in Sweetwater hospital. He was born on March 1, 1950 in Greensburg, Penn a son of the late William & Mary Markle. Larry was an honorable retired veteran of the United States Army after faithfully serving his country during the Vietnam War. He went on after retirement to work for the U. S. Postal Service and retired from there in 2009. Larry was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid UT Vols fan and also enjoyed watching any and all sports, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two sisters Kathy and Judy.
Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 53 years Frances Willis Markle, three daughters Pattie Hall, Melissa Cox and husband Victor, Stacey Duran and husband Max, one son Brian “Shane” Markle, nine grandchildren Jordan Hall, Skylar Markle, Kendric Cox, Dante Duran, Brian Markle Jr., Emersen Duran, Harley Markle, Trinity Markle and Madison Markle, one brother Bobby Markle, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A graveside service will take place on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Sweetwater Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Marshall Moser officiating. The service will conclude with full military honors in recognition of Mr. Markle’s service to his country.
