Obituary
Larry J. Bennett, 71, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2012. Larry was born in Dalton, GA on February 18, 1941 a son of the late Howard B. Bennett and Ellen Hambright Bennett. Larry was a veteran of the United States Army. Larry was of the Baptist faith and will be most remembered for being a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by a brother Ronald H. Bennett, and a sister Francis Gillman.
Larry is survived by five sons Mr. & Mrs. Michael Gaddis, Mr. & Mrs. Ben Bennett, Mr. & Mrs. Tommy Gaddis, Mr. & Mrs. Scotty Gaddis and Mr. & Mrs. Ronnie Bennett, nineteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous other extended family members and friends.
A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 4:00 PM at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church located at 190 Farrar Road, Cohutta, GA 30710 with the Reverend Larry Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery in Dalton, GA and conclude with Military Honors.
The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until the 4:00 PM service time.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made in Larry’s name to the Coat’s for Kids charity.
