Lamar Bell, born on June 24, 1951 in Cleveland, TN, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2023. Known for his jovial spirit, quick wit, and easy laughter, he will be remembered through his well-woven stories and the beautiful furniture he crafted.
Lamar proudly served American Uniform for over thirty years before dedicating his skills to Hardwick Clothes. Despite his widespread professional accomplishments, he was most fulfilled by his Christian faith, his love of building furniture and birdhouses, and his joy of spending time outdoors to ensure the beauty of his yard.
Though Lamar was predeceased by his parents, Virgil and Pauline Bell, and his siblings, his memory remains alive in the hearts of his close-knit family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of over a decade, Launa Keller Bell, who supported and stood by him in every chapter of their life together. He is remembered lovingly by his close friend, more like a sister, Teresa Brown(Max), and his special cousin Mildred Bain(Jerry). His brothers-in-law, Scott(Rosa) and Tim Keller(Pam) also mourn his loss and celebrate his life. Lamar's passing leaves a void in the lives of his beloved mother-in-law Carol Keller, as well as several nieces and nephews. His inimitable sense of humor, which could bring laughter to any situation, will be profoundly missed by his entire family and everyone privileged to know him.
The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 4:00PM - 6:00PM with a celebration of life ceremony to follow at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service in Cleveland, TN. Minister Arietta Grimmett will be officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
