Kevin Rau

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Dale Rau, who left us on 12/3/2024. Kevin was born to Gerald and Nancy Rau on February 4, 1963 in Hinsdale Illinois. He grew up in Michigan and graduated from Midland High School. In his 40 's , Kevin relocated to Tennessee where he made Chattanooga his home.A friendly person, Kevin enjoyed meeting new people wherever he went. Among his many interests were fishing, collecting pocket knives, classic cars and spending time with family. Kevin liked playing board and card games, wrapping loose change, apple cider, and going out to eat. With an amazing memory for numbers, history and various facts, Kevin always had a unique conversation starter. Kevin was proud to be an organ donor.

Kevin is survived by his Mother, Nancy Jones Rau Pinnell , siblings Kimberly Rau and Kenda Rau Komula, adopted sister Lynn Landen, special cousin Patricia ( Pat ) Pearson , as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

He will be deeply missed by his family, and all who knew him

A graveside service will be held 5:00 pm January 9th, 2025 at Collegedale Memorial Park 4939 East College Dr. , Collegedale, TN 37363. A 6:00 pm memorial celebrating Kevin's life will follow immediately at Chattanooga First Seventh-day Adventist Church 7450 Standifer Gap Rd. Chattanooga, TN. 37421.
