Kent Stephen Green, age 67, a resident of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on August 7, 2023, at Park Ridge Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was born on December 21, 1955, in Chatsworth, Georgia, to the late Eugene and Jeanette (Crumley) Green.

Kent was a devoted follower of the Baptist faith and found joy in various passions. He had a deep love for hunting and fishing, as well as an avid enthusiasm for NASCAR and football. A dedicated family man, Kent cherished his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. His adoration for his grandkids knew no bounds. Kent's generosity knew no bounds; he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, demonstrating his selflessness by giving the shirt off his back.

Kent is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Green, his sister Fretta Pulliam, his brother Jeffrey Green, his son Tony Godsey, his daughter Tina Short  and his cherished grandchildren: Brandon Abston, Travis Abston, Hannah Gross, Cora Layman, Summer Short, and Stephanie Godsey.
