Kenneth Torbett

Kenneth Ray Torbett, 76, of Cleveland, TN, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2023. He was born in Madisonville, TN, on February 20, 1947, to the late Carl and Wittie Torbett. In addition to his parents Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Torbett; sister, Reba Dennis; stepdaughter, Jean Kerns; and step-son, Gary Cain. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Lois Torbett, and his sister Joyce Fowler. His children, Sharon Torbett (Scotty), Michael Torbett, Karen Torbett, Martha (Danny) Emerson, and Michael (Susan) Cain; grandchildren, Jesse (Ashley) Shermer, Daniel (Shannon) Lay, Tommy Gladson, and Mark (Rebecca) Ratcliffe; his great-grandchildren, MaKenley Shermer, Jackson Shermer, Landon Gladson, Trevor Gladson, Colby Gladson, and Callie Ratcliffe. In addition, he's remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews and lifelong friends Larry Stinnett and Terry Fowler. In remembrance of Kenneth's life, a service will be held on Wednesday, November 1 at 2:00 pm at the United Christian Church (2200 Peerless Rd. Cleveland, TN) The service will be presided over by Pastor Danny Emerson. Kenneth will be laid to rest at the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Cleveland, TN.
