Kenneth Smith

Kenneth P. Smith, a lifelong resident of Ducktown, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the age of 92.

Born on February 3, 1933, to the late Raines and Ruth Smith, Kenneth was a man of deep faith, compassion, and quiet strength. He was a devoted and longtime member of Ducktown Methodist Church, where he served faithfully with a servant's heart, always ready to help those in need.

Kenneth honorably served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1959, and lived a life marked by integrity, service, and kindness. His gentle spirit and caring nature touched the lives of many in his community.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Mary Jeanne Smith, who stood faithfully by his side through every season of life.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the nurses and staff of Life Care Center of Athens, who cared for "Uncle Poode" with tenderness and respect over the past two years. Your compassion helped make his final chapter one of peace, dignity, and grace. We are forever grateful.

In accordance with Kenneth's wishes, no funeral service will be held.
