Ken"Red" Lawson

Kenneth Edward Lawson, known affectionately as "Red," passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on March 30, 1943, in Sheffield, Alabama, Ken lived a life brimming with passion and dedication, ultimately making his home in Cleveland, Tennessee.

A man of many talents, Ken devoted much of his working life to the automotive industry, with Lawson's Towing being a cherished venture he founded. His skills as a business owner reflected his drive and ingenuity, leaving a legacy that will be fondly remembered. Yet, it wasn't just work that defined Ken; he was a devoted family man whose heart was especially full for his grandchildren-Scott, Barron, and Robert. Their laughter and joy filled his days, and he cherished every moment spent making memories with them.

Ken's spirit shone through in his passions. An avid fan of Alabama football and NASCAR racing, he could often be found cheering for his favorite teams or immersed in the thrill of the game. He had a soft spot for old westerns, drawing inspiration from the stories of courage and resilience. Known for his playful sense of humor, Ken found joy in reminiscing about the "good ol' days," weaving tales that connected his loved ones through laughter and shared memories.

Kenneth was preceded in death by: Linda Lawson, William Lawson, and Laura Lawson.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Brenda Pierce, son-in-law Scott Pierce, and his dear brother, Blaine Lawson. Ken will be mourned profoundly, but his legacy of love and joy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Guinn Green officiating.
