Keath Leonard Grisham, age 86 of Georgetown went home to be with the Lord on Sunday September 18, 2022. He was the son of the late Leonard and Pauline Grisham.
He was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church from his youth having been saved in Bible School.
He served two years in the United States Army, one of those years in Korea, two years in the active reserve and two years in the inactive reserve.
He was a mechanic at Hall Chevrolet for many years and was a welder and shop foreman at Burn's Ornamental Iron when he retired in 1997.
Before his health began to fail, he enjoyed Bass fishing and driving his John Deere tractor on the family farm and bailing hay.
He is survived by his wife of 64 happy years, Hackie Waddell Grisham. Together they have one son and daugher-in-law, Bryan and Candy Grisham and one brother, Donnie Grisham.
He is also survived by four grandaughters, Sydney Cole (Eddie Hadley), Ashton Howard (Trey), Bryann Pressley (Jacob), Darcy Grisham (Chad Bender) and one grandson Bryan Keath Grisham II.
Keath loved watching his grandchildren grow up and become parents to his nine great-grandchildren. Maddux and Korra Cole, Marley and Maizy Hughes and McCoy Howard, Hayden, Madlynn and Beau Pressley. He was preceded in death by a grandson-in-law, Matt Hughes, great grandson Weston Keath Pressley, and a sister Bobbie Dean Frazier.
His graveside service will be held, Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at noon at the Beech Springs Cemetery located on the Grisham Family Farm in Georgetown.
Rev. Ron Perry will start the service with a song and the Rev. David Evans will officiate. At the end of the service, at Keath's request, his granddaughter Ashton Howard will play his favorite bluegrass tune on the banjo.
