Kayla Jade Tankersley, a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend, passed away on August 20, 2023, in Benton, TN. Born on November 10, 1998, Kayla brought immense joy to those around her throughout her life.
Kayla had an extraordinary sense of humor that never failed to brighten the room. Her infectious laughter and witty remarks filled every gathering with joy and laughter. She had a knack for making people laugh and turning even the gloomiest of days into moments of positivity and happiness. Kayla's ability to find humor in every situation was truly unmatched.
Beyond her beautiful sense of humor, Kayla had an array of passions that made her who she was. One of her greatest joys was listening to music. Whether it was finding solace in the soothing melodies or passionately singing along to her favorite tunes, music was a constant companion throughout her life. It allowed her to connect with the world around her and express herself in ways words could not capture. Most of all Kayla enjoyed spending quality time with her family.
Kayla was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Kenneth Stone; and her paternal grandfather, Gary Tankersley Sr.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her parents, Gary Mike Tankersley Jr. and Christie Tankersley; her sister, Mia Tankersley; brother, Jordan (Colby) Culberson; nieces, Jade Stamper, and Miranda Stamper-Culberson; maternal grandmother, Linda Stone; her paternal grandparents, Ollie and Donnie Hall; cousins, Jake Tankersley, Jeremy Tankersley, Cody Bates, Rylee Bates, and Savana Bates; her aunt, Becky (Alan) Bates; uncles, Mark (Amy) Tankersley, and Zach Tankersley; along with a host of extended family and friends.
A private Graveside service will be held at a later date.
