Kaye Jones

Kaye Jones, 81, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away, Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at her residence in Georgetown, TN. Mrs. Jones was born Mary Kaye Shirley on July 20, 1940, in Crossville, Alabama to her parents, Clifford and Nell Shirley. Kaye had an undying love and commitment to her husband, Gilbert Jones, whom she married in 1976. She spent most of her summers in her mid-life participating in wagon trains. After Mrs. Jones retired, they toured the country in a RV and decided that they loved living ion the road, traveling, and seeing all that they could see. She and Gilbert spent several summers in Yellowstone National Park working for the park service. She really enjoyed her time waiting tables at the Yellowstone Lodge. Kaye loves all the memories and experiences she was able to have and always loved to reminisce and share those memories for the rest of her life.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Frank Shirley and daughter, Dianne Bullard.
Mrs. Jones is mourned by her 3 children, Jackie Carney, Donald (Brenda) Carney, and Tina (Scott) Johnson; 9 grandchildren, Ashlee Carney Smith, Jeremy Carney, Holley Carney, Justin Carney, and Colby Johnson; great-grandchildren, Alex Rose, Disney Rose, Tanner Lloyd, and Josh Loudermilk.

A Memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 12:00 PM-4:00 PM, at Companion Funeral Home, Cleveland, TN.
