Katrina Nicole Starnes

Katrina Nicole Starnes, 56, a beloved mother, “Nini”, sister and friend passed away Friday evening, January 7, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family. Katrina was the daughter of the late Jerrian and Oscar K. Starnes. Katrina is best known for her love of animals and the compassionate care she provided her clients for over 17 years working for Dr. Huttenhoff and others at Appalachian Animal Clinic. Katrina found joy cooking for others, working in her yard and in her relationships with her neighbors and friends.
Katrina is survived by her daughter, Amber Morris (Josh) and her two granddaughters, Emma Claire and Caroline Kate Morris; her sister, Kathiann Montgomery and brother, Kennith Starnes (Janet); niece, Sara Friedt (Matt) and nephews, Nickolas Montgomery (Colleen), and Kennith Starnes II (Nathan Hixson); and her faithful companion, Tubbie. Katrina is also survived by her great niece and nephew, Katelyn and David Friedt, as well as several cousins. Katrina loved her family so much and she will be greatly missed.
Her family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga (Cleveland office) for the care and support they provided Katrina and her family. Additionally, Katrina had several caregivers who made her last weeks more comfortable, Eva, Shannon, Sherry, Dorothy and Cheri.
A private family memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider making a donation in Katrina’s name to SPCA of Bradley County or any other local animal rescue group.
