Kathy Mayo Ervin

Kathy Ervin, age 62 of Cleveland, departed this life on Saturday morning, March 6, 2021 at her home. Born on September 28, 1958 in Shreveport, Louisiana, she lived a majority of her life in Bradley County and attended Brainerd Baptist Church and Westwood Baptist Church. Kathy was a well-known Diabetic educator and spent her career at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and studying God’s word with George and teaching and discipling her children and grandchildren. Kathy was a founding director of the New Hope Pregnancy Crisis Center.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Mayo.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, George Ervin; children, Bain Ervin(Amy), Joe Ervin(Karis), Julieann Babcock(Timothy) Hannah Ervin; grandchildren, River Ervin, Bailey Ervin, Mack Ervin, Connor Ervin, Colin Ervin, Kilian Ervin, Liam Babcock , Stella Babcock; mother, Grace Hampton Mayo; siblings, Rick Mayo(Lori), Sorita Rusher(Greg), Terry Mayo (Diane), Joey Mayo(Lisa); and several nieces, nephews, other extended family and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Kathryn Delayne Mayo Ervin “Kathy”, will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from the Old Pathway Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Winget officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 10AM -12 Noon on Tuesday at the Church prior to the funeral hour.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be considered to the New Hope Pregnacy Care Center in Cleveland
