Kathryn Hamler Herman

Kathryn Fae Hamler Herman, age 67 of Cleveland, departed this life on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Tennova Healthcare. Born on September 25, 1952 in Brookville, Pennsylvania to the late Dallas and Josephine Kougher Hamler, grew up in New York where she married the love of her life and lived in Chattanooga and Bradley County for the past 42 years. She was previously employed at the Chattanooga State Bookstore for the past 14 years and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Daryl Hamler.
Kathryn is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 48 years, Butch Herman; children, Stacy (Trey) Kennedy of Buford, Georgia, Kim (Chuck) Hill of McDonald, Erica (Matthew) Vandegriff of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Darl (Leslie) Herman of East Ridge and Richard Herman of East Ridge; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kennedy, Maddie Kennedy, Robby Kennedy, Dallas Hill, Sarah Kate Hill, Zoey Hill,. Colton Hill, Jackson Vandegriff, Olivia Vandegriff, Reece Vandegriff, Gus Herman, and Riley Herman; brothers, Ed(Margie) Hamler of Avon New York and Jim Hamler of Canton, South Dakota. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and a host of friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Kathryn Fae Hamler Herman will be held from 6p.m.- 7p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Ridgedale Baptist Church Chattanooga.
