Kathryn Hall Holmes

Kathryn Hall Holmes, 83, a resident of Chattanooga, TN passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Parkridge Medical Center. She was born in Alexandria, TN on September 8, 1937 a daughter of the late Benjamin & Lillie Hall. Kathryn spent the majority of her life in Chattanooga, TN and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching antique and home improvement shows, studying history and most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Wilburn “Clyde” Holmes, two children Paul Holmes and Mary Dunn, four sisters Lucille Holmes, Corrine Kelley, Helen Herman and Nell Hall and one brother Jim Hall.
Kathryn leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters Monica Case and her husband Larry of Harrison, TN and Lisa Sutton and her husband Darrell of East Ridge, TN, two sisters Margaret Swaney of Butler, GA and Sue Hill (Ronald) of Smithville, TN, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, special family friend Henry Oxendine, several nieces and nephews, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM in the Cleveland chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN. A service celebrating her life will follow the visitation time at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Stephen Case officiating.
Interment will follow in the Chattanooga Memorial Park with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
