Junior S. Prichard

Junior S. Prichard, 87, a lifelong resident of this area passed away on Saturday afternoon, February 10, 2018 in a Chattanooga hospital. Junior was born in Polk County on August 9, 1930 a son of the late Charlie and Viola Wilson Prichard. He was a retired veteran of 22 years from the United States Air Force where he served his country in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Junior after retiring from the Air Force went on to work and retire from McKee Baking Company. He was a member of the East Side Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son in law David William, and two brothers Robert Prichard and Boyd Prichard.

Junior leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife Juanita Mantooth Prichard, two daughters Beth Davis (William) and Melody Williams, three grandchildren Josh Prichard (Megan), Ashton Williams and Baylen Gamble (Josh), three great grandchildren Jonas Prichard, Emery Prichard and Evie Gamble and one brother Dennis Prichard. He is also survived by numerous other extended family members, church family and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Tuesday evening, February 13, 2018 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with Minister Jeff Archey officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5:00 Pm until the 7:00 Pm service time at the funeral home.

The interment and committal service will take place on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 10:30 AM in the Chattanooga National Cemetery and will conclude with full military honors.
