Julianne Horn

November 6, 1942 — November 23, 2024

Julianne Horn, 82, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. Julie was born in Cleveland, TN. She was a beauty of her 1960 BCHS Class and was also voted the wittiest. Her laughter brought Joy to all around her. Despite her three year battle with ovarian cancer, Julie dubbed "Queen Julianne" by her oncology team, kept her undying sense of humor up to the last moments of her fight.

Julie's love for all animals, big and small was passed down to her children and grandchildren who all have multiple pets of their own. Her home was considered a pet sanctuary where love and food was shared to all of God's Creatures.

Julie looked forward to the photos, phone calls, and visits from her loving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. To them she was known lovingly as Nana Banana.

Julie and her husband created a lifetime of memories traveling throughout multiple states to conduct auctions. The family will never forget "Driving Miss Julie" on lots of memorable car rides, her unmatched courage, grace, and resilience throughout her cancer journey.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 26 years, Vaughn Horn, her daughter Luanne Helms, her parents Julian and Mary Francis Parks, and her sister Katie Sizer.

Her memory will forever live in the hearts of her children, Jeff (Kim) of Collierville, Mary Dawn Newberry (Robbie) of Murfreesboro, Shannon (Kenny) of Charleston, Four cherished grandchildren Natalie, Taylor, Carson, and Ashton, Two precious Great grandchildren Ezra and Nora.

The family greatly appreciates the love and support and laughs from a special friend Kim Beasley. Also the care that she received from Dr. Sylvia Krueger, the wonderful nurses and staff at Tennessee Oncology and Hearth Hospice.

At Julie's request, there will be no services, A private memorial will be held at a later date.

Memorial Donations may be made to Dixie Day Spa, the SPCA or a local animal shelter or any Veteran Foundation in her honor.
