Obituary
Julia Oneida Howard passed away on August 11th, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Daniel and Farrel Lora Ratcliff Howard, infant Brother and Sister John Daniel and Jennie Lou Howard, a very special and loving brother Jack LaBraun Howard and one nephew Brian Wesley Howard.
She is survived by two sisters, Joyce Mary Howard and Jean Etta and her husband, Ralph Lindsey Bedingfield of Lake City, Florida, also nephews Ralph Lindsey Jr. and wife, Lori and great niece Ellie Ann Bedingfield of Jacksonville, Florida and Richard Howard Bedingfield of Atlanta, Georgia.
Oneida was a graduate of Bradley Central High School Class of 1944. She is a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church where she served as secretary and bookkeeper to the late Marquis J. Triplett, former Pastor of Broad Street United Methodist Church. She also was secretary and bookkeeper and later the Dean of Students of Cleveland Day School (private school). She lastly retired from the Bradley County Board of Education in the accounting department.
The family is planning a private memorial service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Memorial Program One St. Jude Place Building P. O. Box 3704 Memphis, TN 38173-0704 or the Ronald McDonald House or to the Mary Ellen Locker Breast Cancer Memorial Fund c/o Memorial Hospital 2525 Dodds Avenue Chattanooga, TN 37404.
