Heaven has gained a glorious addition to its band of angels. Julia "Julie" Davis Newell left this world on Tuesday October 22nd, 2024 surrounded by her family, whom she loved and cherished.
Julie was a lifelong resident of Northwest Georgia and a proud graduate of Rossville High School. She went on to build a successful career in industrial sales. Her welcoming personality combined with her expansive knowledge of the businesses she served created friendships that lasted well beyond her retirement.
While she took immense pride in her career, her greatest happiness and peace was rooted in her faith. She attended and loved Cowboy Church of Lafayette. She bravely trusted the Lord throughout each and every adversity she was faced with. She will remain a pillar of our faith in Christ.
Julie was preceded in death by her father, Frank Davis and her sister, Tonjia Vaughn.
She is survived by her loving mother, Shelva Davis; her dedicated husband of 42 years, Chris, who patiently and lovingly cared for her until her last earthly breath. She leaves behind a legacy of her treasured children, Jessica Silvers (Matthew Arp) and Jeremy Newell.
Undoubtedly, her greatest accomplishment in life was the title of "Mama". She found the most immense joy and pride in being "Jewells" to her grandboys, Knox Silvers and Bronson Arp. She endlessly loved, doted and prayed over 'her boys'.
As was customary for Julie, she wanted no sadness or tears. Respecting her wishes, there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, we recommend a donation to Cowboy Church of Lafayette's Children's Ministry 196 County Line Rd, Rock Spring GA 30739
