Judith Virginia Gordon, 80, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Saturday, August 27th, 2016 at her home. She was born on February 28th, 1936 in Bay City Michigan the daughter of the late Ira Lisk and Elaine Evans. She was a graduate of Handy High School in Bay City, Michigan and went on to graduate from the University of Michigan. She worked for twenty plus years at the University of Michigan’s Children’s Hospital as a medical technologist. Judy has made Cleveland her home for the last thirty years. She was a strong Christian woman that was a prayer warrior for countless friends, family and others. Judy was also a faithful supporter of multiple Christian Ministries.
Judy leaves behind to cherish her memory two children a son Matthew Gordon and his wife Theresa of Pittsburg, PA and a daughter Gwen Farmer and her husband Michael of Acworth, GA, six grandchildren Clay Gordon (Kasey) of Champaign, Illinois, River Gordon and Brooke Gordon both of Pittsburg, PA, Lucas Farmer, Ben Farmer and Andrew Farmer all of Acworth, GA, one great granddaughter Calli Gordon of Champaign, Illinois, numerous other extended family members, and a host of special friends and caregivers.
A celebration of her life is planned for Tuesday, August 30th, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD in Cleveland, TN with eulogist Rebecca King officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the funeral home parlor on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM service time.
